Wow so you know what's possibly the most make-your-ears-bleed annoying song???? Rebecca St. James' treatment of the Veggie Tales themesong. Oh deity of gravy. I got out my Veggie Tales Rocks CD today cuz I wanted to listen to something fun, and the first one is Rebecca being breathalicious all over my boombox. *shudders*
While we're on the topic of annoying songs, I have a confession. "Ever Ever After" by Carrie Underwood. I hate that song. The first time I heard it my reaction was something similar to "Oh gosh NO!" but possibly more colorful. But I know several people who I like/respect who like both Underwood and the song quite a bit, so I decided that maybe first impressions are sometimes mean. So I kept giving the deity-forsaken song a second chance. And a third. And a fourth. I have concluded that it is NOT a song that improves on greater acquaintance. Now I just want to shoot myself when I hear it. Carrie Underwood I'm still undecided on in general.
Anyway, just thought you'd want my opinion on music. :P Just kidding, I just wanted to rant, and I have nothing else blog-worthy to say. Toodles!

Just a brief word of complaint, because that is after all what I seem to do for a living. This is just one episode in the longggggg series, "Nickalodeon: Idiots, Jerkfaces, or Both?" started, continued, and run by most of the intelligent people on the planet.
Well so first of all, they're not airing the four-part finale of Avatar: the Last Airbender until July. Freaking JULY. The US hasn't had new episodes officially aired since, what, January? Canada got more and even more were released on a DVD. But seriously...why are they making us wait that long?
1. Because they're idiots and just don't know any better, namely that Avatar is super popular and has ravenous fans. Highly unlikely.
2. Because they're evil and know that the fans are hardcore and will wait years, if necessary, for new stuff to come out.
Wow I'm totally sidetracking. Airing in July was not the point of this blog.
I just found out from rufftoon (over at DA, works on Avatar) that they're releasing a book for younger readers, Sozin's Comet, and it'll cover the four-part finale.
*facepalm*
So not only are they evil bastards who refuse to have any kind of regular airing, they're releasing cheap, spoilericious kids-lit that'll spread all over the 'Net in the time it takes you to say "Zhao lives!" (and that's not a spoiler, it's a jab at Zhao fans...because, let's face it, Zhao-fanbase bashing is up there in my top ten Most Fun Pastimes list).
*sigh*
rufftoon also made a very good point about the fact that all the merchandise, including books, have been aimed at the original age group for the show, namely ages like 6-14? This makes me lean towards the "Nickalodeon are Idiots" belief because if they realized their fanbase includes older teens and adults, they could make a helluva lot more money by marketing better books and cooler stuff. :P Heck, I'd buy some.
